Cathy from Katrina’s Christening Gowns (Neston, Wirral) asked me to create a logo and branding identity for her business, as well as a suite of marketing materials – and a website. This was all on a fairly tight budget to a specific deadline.
The new logo featured prominently at the top left and the navigation bar is suspended in line with the top of the logo, with the drop down menu sure to not obscure any images. I watermarked some of Cathy’s images and placed them within the slider; which shows the tops of the gowns – the most intricate detailing.
Below this sits some Home sections; ‘About’, ‘Care Instructions’, ‘Testimonials’ and ‘Say Hello’; the information deemed the most important for potential and existing customers. Cathy’s tag line (which also appears on promotional materials) features under this information but above the ‘From The Blog’ section, with the latest news.
For the content, I reworded some of the original copy and added some galleries to make the pages look more interesting. For the ‘Off-The-Peg’ page, I used an accordian to display the information and images for the gowns ready to buy straight away, along with a contact form on the sidebar for this particular page. The other pages show a Search bar, the website’s pages and social media links in the sidebar.
Cathy is really pleased with her website – and her new online presence falls in line with her new branding identity. The website is overall very simple and delicate, displaying the information and images in a very pretty way.
